El and I are at AK. The vegans are here. Did you know that they have an
annoucement portion? They are looking for people to help rescue turkeys this
season. Also to monitor the elections in El Salvador. I can also go learn
how to trap and neuter stray cats!

I am sitting on a street corner on the Lower East Side. Because AK is working a three song playlist that consists of something that might be Bloc Party, "Two Princes", and "AGAINST ALL MOTHERFUCKING ODDS." Jesus. I am done with Wednesdays at this bar.

AK is turning into a truly bizarre place. It's typically half scenesters, ten percent fangirls in Torrid hoodies, twenty percent local duuuuuudes who are here for the Pabst/Newcastle specials, and twenty percent serious, serious dykes. If I knew how to get hit on, I could probably score! But, oh well.

AK is beyond weird. In the red corner, weighing 120 pounds soaking wet, it's Stacy London's birthday party, held here because apparently Jesse and Bob Mc are friends with her crew? Went to AK because Beckett was going to be there and peeps made me. And then some fangirls played Lighthouse by THS. So I put my coat on. And then they played Helena. I ran out so fast that I stepped on a guy's foot.

Rob just followed the panic album with "Return of the Mack." Swear to God.
